Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (size depends on people to be served)
- 3 tbsp Lawry's Steak & Chop Marinade
- 1/4 tsp seasoned meat tenderizer
- 1 package (1 oz) Lipton onion soup mix (optional)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can of water (use the soup can)
- 1/2 cup Lawry's Steak & Chop Marinade
Remember this is a quick crockpot meal, it was Sunday dinner for me. So...to lessen the crockpot time I boiled the pork chops first.
1) Place the pork chops in a pot then sprinkle seasoned meat tenderizer and 3 tbsp of Lawry's Steak & Chop Marinade on top. Fill the pot with cool water (enough to cover meat). Bring to boil (total time on stove: 30-45 minutes).
If you choose to skip "Step One" increase crockpot cooking time to 6-8 hours and keep on low the entire time.
2) Once you get the pot going, start working on the sauce for the chops. Mix mushroom soup, onion soup mix, can of water, and 1/2 cup Lawry's Steak & Chop Marinade together in crockpot. Stir, and turn crockpot on high (for the remainder of boil time).
3) Place chops in crockpot at end of "Step One" and spoon sauce over chops to cover. Turn crockpot down to low. Let simmer for 1 hour.
It turned out pretty well, we ate it with Betty Crocker Three Cheese Potatoes and Green Beans.
DeVonn said it was "Ok." He preferred my usual sauce and thought this was different.....because he said this I decided to also give you a variation of this recipe.
The way I usually would have cooked this would have been to do everything pretty much the same except instead of using the onion soup mix, I use a real onion--1 medium onion cut in spirals and placed on top of meat.
